Movement |
Automatic – Chronometer An automatic/self-winding movement is powered by a thin spiral torsion spring, called the mainspring, which is housed in an enclosed barrel inside the movement. The energy produced from the wound spring drives the movement functions. An automatic watch has a weighted rotor mounted on a pivot to the back of the movement, and the rotor is connect to the mainspring through a series of gears. The natural motion of the wearers wrist will cause the rotor to spin, which in turn will automatically wind the mainspring. Please note: An automatic winding watch which has completely wound-down or is at the end of its power reserve requires manual winding. Manually winding an automatic watch ensures that the watch is at full power-reserve when first worn, and as long as the watch is in motion thereafter it will remain fully wound, ensuring that when the watch is removed it will run the specificed power-reserve duration. Planet Ocean 600 M Omega Co-axial Master CHRONOMETER GMT 45.5mm BIG BLUE
- Brushed blue ceramic case& polished beveled corners, crafted from a single block of ceramic.
- Bezel:
- Blue ceramic bezel
- Orange galvanizedrubber filled15 minute scale zone.
- Satin finished Liquidmetal diving scale markings & numbers.
- Luminous dot at the starting point (green colored emission).
- Dial:
- Polished blue zirconium oxide ceramic dial, with [ZrO2] engraved on the dial directly below the center hands.
- Applied brushed white gold index hour with luminous fill (blue colored emission).
- Applied orange 6, 9 & 12 hour markers.
- Silver printed minute/seconds track.
- Brushed white gold hands with luminous fill (hour & seconds hands with blue colored emission, minute hand with green colored emission).
- Date window located at the 3 o’clock position.
- Helium escape valve located on the case edge at the 10 o’clock position.
- GMT/2nd Time-zone:
- Indicated by the orange spear-head hand with a luminous filled tip. This handmakes a single rotation every 24 hours & points tothe desired GMT timezone on the bezel.
- The additional time is indicated inan orange24 hour chapter ring on the dial perimeter. The reason forthe 24 hour mode isto eliminate confusion betweenday & nightat the desired time-zone.
- Screwed-in transparent caseback with the engraving oriented & aligned with the watch, thanks to Omega’s patented “Naiad Lock”.
- Movement:
- Omega Master Co-Axial caliber 8906, beats at 25,200 vph, contains38 Jewels & has an approximate power reserve of 60 hours, courtesy ofits twin barrels mounted in series.
- Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) certified Master-Chronometer.The finished watch, whose movement is a COSC chronometer, passes teststhat replicate real-life wearing conditions. The METAS certificationtestswater resistance, precision and magnetic resistance to 15,000 gauss.
- Anti-magnetic: resistant to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss. In addition to measuring the performance of the watch in daily wearing conditions, the process also ensures that the watch and its movement function properly when exposed to magnetic fields of 15,000 gauss.
- Features Omega’s Si14 silicon balance spring that improves resistance to shock and magnetism and thus to sustainedreliability.
- The movement also features Omegas Co-Axial Escapement which contributes to greater precision, stability & durability. The Co-Axial escapement has less friction & reduces the necessity of lubrication thus reducing the time intervalsrequired between servicing.
- The rotor & visible bridges are decorated with a unique “arabesque” wave design finish.
